Doula Jen

Jen is a DONA International Certified and trained birth doula, APPA certified placenta encapsulation specialist and a birth + newborn photographer serving clients delivering in the Baton Rouge area.  She began working as a birth photographer in 2010, and in 2013 was encouraged to take doula certification training.  She  fell in love being able to serve moms and their families! Last year Jen added a rebozo certification as well as encapsulation services to her business. She  hopes to one day be in a place where she can open a non-profit and work with teen moms, as there is a great need for unconditional support. Jen and her husband also hope to work internationally some day.  Read more about what doulas can offer on the FAQ page. Jen receives ongoing and continuing education through in-person workshops, seminars and webinars, and will be adding several certifications within the next year. Originally from Southern  California, she and her husband have been happily married nearly 7 years and have 3 beautiful children together; ages 6, 4, and 2.
